Resources for developers
My favorite plugin developer is a company called iThemes. Yes, you have to pay for the plugins, but they are well worth it, and in the end I’m sure they will save you money. I’ve picked out a few of my favorite plugins, but feel free to go straight to their site and see all they have to offer.

BackupBuddy – WP backup, restore, migration plugin Everyone who has a WordPress website should own BackupBuddy, and use it! The features built into WordPress for backup only backup the data, not the images and plugins. BackupBuddy backs up everything. You can schedule backups so you don’t even have to think about it. And then you can send your backups to another server to keep them safe. Restoring is easy too.

Builder Basics Webinar – Free Resource! This is an amazing product. It’s not a plugin and it’s much more than a theme. With Builder you can drag and drop wigetized areas anywhere on the page. You can change the width or position of your sidebar, and have everything adjust. |

I was working on a site that needed some video. I spent over an hour testing out all kinds of video embed plugins, and none of them worked right. Finally I decided to spend $20 and save a few hours of frustration. |

This is a membership program where you pay a yearly fee and get access to over 250 hours of WordPress and web design training. I’ve watched a lot of these and 98% of them are really good. Even if you’re a seasoned website designer, there are videos you can learn from. |

Resources for clients
I use Hostmonster for all of my clients hosting, primarily because they have good customer service. They also have good prices and reliable servers, though to me customer service is a top priority.
