Download, Upload and Post

Visualize the Internet above your computer. If you want to get a file from the Internet, you get it from above, so you download it. If you want to send a file from your computer to another computer, you upload it.

Let's use Flickr.com as an example. If I want to get a photo from Flickr, I download it. If I want to put one of my photos on Flickr, I upload it. If you are uploading files so that others may see them, then you are posting the files.
