Computer Animation with Flash

Beginning Flash

Here are some of the things you'll learn:

  • How to draw in Flash.
  • How to make objects move in a staight line and on a path.
  • How to make objects morph from one shape to another, from one color to another and from transparent to non-transparent.
  • How to make buttons that launch animations.

Prerequisites: You must be comfortable using the computer.

Intermediate Flash

You will learn to use Actionscript, the programming language for Flash. When you know how to program, you can make your animations interactive. Here are some of the things you'll learn:

  • How to make things move by pressing buttons or using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
  • How to create reactions when objects bump into each other.
  • How to make one animation trigger another animation.
  • How to make a simple game.

Prerequisites: Beginning or intermediate Flash class, or permission from instructor.
